Although Monster Hunter Tri wasn’t entirely well received due to it being exclusive to the Wii, Alatreon is a fan favorite. This monster changes its elemental affinities and weaknesses depending on whether or not it is grounded or in the air, and just looks incredible as well.

The developer diaries set on July 3rd should reveal other details such as if there are any other new monsters being added, new quests and equipment, and more to players. Those wanting to watch that should tune in at 5 AM PDT to get the latest news straight from the developers. Alongside this, a new Event Quest schedule will appear on the Monster Hunter website on July 3rd as well, meaning hunters can get back into the swing of things with both new and old events and all the bizarre rewards that come with them.

The steady slew of free content added to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is greatly appreciated by fans. Monster Hunter games have always included new events and whatnot, but few before World have added monsters that weren’t in the game at launch or released massive DLC content like Iceborne. It seems like this game is around to stay, although there hasn’t been any official word on whether or not Iceborne will get a next gen port or if it will instead receive a sequel. Either way, July 3rd will bring some exciting new information and July 9th will bring some invigorating new challenges.

Alatreon is certainly just the tip of the iceberg for title update 4, as other previous Monster Hunter title updates have featured a lot more than just one new monster. It is undoubtedly an exciting time to be a monster hunter. in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
